- Cibolo. The City offers park rentals at several sites, including Niemietz Park (618 FM 78), Al Rich Park, Schlather Park and Veterans Memorial Park. Niemietz Park’s pavilion is booked through the City’s online park-rental form.
- Seguin: Max Starcke Park. The park has large (L1–L4 and Starcke Bowl), medium (M1, M2) and small (P1–P22) covered pavilions. Only L1, L2, M1 and Starcke Bowl have electricity. Inflatable blowers need power, so reserve one of those or add a generator. Parks & Recreation: 830-401-2480.
- McQueeney sits on Lake McQueeney (also called Lake Abbott), a 396-acre reservoir on the Guadalupe River operated by the Guadalupe-Blanco River Authority.

- Celebrate Freedom Juneteenth, a Seguin celebration held downtown.
- Seguin Pecan Fest, on Saturday, October 24, in 2026.
- Seguin’s Fourth of July festival at Central Park. Long known as Freedom Fiesta, it was renamed Red, White & Seguin for 2026.
A little local history
Schertz is named for an Alsatian family who settled in Texas in the 1840s, and the area still takes pride in its German heritage. Cibolo, also settled mainly by German immigrants in the mid-1800s, voted to become an independent township in 1965 and more than doubled in population between 2010 and 2020. Marion, a small city of about 1,000 people, was incorporated by 1941. McQueeney is a census-designated place west of Seguin.
Where Guadalupe County parties happen
Typical party spots across the county are backyards, HOA amenity centers, church grounds and park pavilions like the ones above. If your yard has a slope, or the setup spot is far from the driveway, tell us when you book so we can plan the right unit and setup surface.
